Today I am recapping my recent trip to Europe. On the agenda…Paris. It really is as beautiful and romantic as people say. Aside from getting sick the first full day I was there with a nasty stomach bug, the rest of our time there was great! I have never been there before so of course I did your typical tourist attractions, but it did not disappoint. Here are a few of my favorite moments I managed to capture, either with my iPhone camera or my Nikon D3200…
This was taken on our walk through Montmartre on our way to the Basilica of Sacre-Coer. This is one of the things I enjoy about skipping the metro and opting to walk to my destination…you never know what kind of beautiful street view awaits you around the next corner.
One of my favorite things I did in Paris was secure my love on the famous lock bridge. Later I found out from a tour guide that the police can ticket you if caught putting a lock on the bridge because all these locks (19 tons!) are weighing it down. Yikes!
And what trip to Paris would be complete without including a shot of the Eiffel Tower? This photo was taken on a small ferry we boarded as part of a champagne sunset cruise down the Seine River. I would recommend this to anyone. It’s a nice break from the hustle and bustle of walking amongst tourists at all the attractions.
And there you have it…my trip to Paris in a nutshell! Stay tuned for my next post as I take you to Barcelona, the second half of my journey. Au revoir for now… 😉
